Everything that happens in one ZINC mining round

Here's an A-Z and step-by-step guide on everything you should keep in mind while mining ZINC 🦺

Step 1: Select

Our circular board has 30 tiles. Each mining round is 30 seconds long. You pick between 1 and 30 of them, or multiply and decide how much SOL to deploy total or per tile.

This is the only decision you make in a round, so it's worth thinking about.

The main catch is: The more SOL you deploy on fewer tiles, the higher the efficiency, as you earn more "Bricks" per round. Bricks are ZINC's point system, which miners use to enter the Stockpile.

Spreading thin across many tiles covers more ground, but dilutes your position on each tile and Brick earnings.

Your tile selections are encrypted by Arcium. Nobody can see what you picked, not other miners, not Arcium, not us. The Arcium network handles this before the round closes. There is no way to expose, copy or frontrun your mining strategy.

Protocol also has in-built autominer with options to select "All", "Odd" or "Even" tiles and mine ZINC automatically for you.

Step 2: Reveal

When the round closes, only one winning tile is selected. This also happens through Arcium's secure randomness, which is provably fair and impossible to predict or manipulate in advance.

If you're on the winning tile, you win. If you're not, you don't. Simple.

The SOL from all losing tiles gets distributed to the miners on the winning tile, proportional to how much each one deployed. If you put in 60% of the SOL on the winning tile, you get 60% of the losing tile payouts. Portion of SOL goes to fund operations and ZINC buybacks.

On top of that, new ZINC is minted and split among winning tile miners. Each round allocates ZINC to winners, to the Stockpile pot and Bonanza pot.

One more thing to watch for: about 1 in 4 rounds is a Wildcat. When it hits, 69.268% of that round's ZINC payload goes to a single lucky miner on the winning tile instead of being split evenly.

Finally, once every 625 rounds on average, the Bonanza draw happens. The entire accumulated ZINC pot drops to the winning tile miners.

Step 3: Claim

When you land on a winning tile, you have to claim your winnings manually after the round. ZINC accrues to your profile until you manually claim it.

There's a reason to wait: a 10% refining fee applies when you claim ZINC. That 10% gets redistributed to miners who haven't claimed yet, so the longer you hold your unclaimed balance, the more you collect from everyone else who claims before you.

What to do next?

A few things worth thinking about after each round:

  • Check your Bricks. Every round you mine adds to your total, and Bricks are your entry into the Stockpile, the weekly jackpot that pays out SOL, ZINC, and extra partner assets to one winner. The more Bricks you stack, the heavier your entry.

  • Check your streak. Keep going, mining round by round, and your Bricks multiplier grows. The streak system rewards miners who treat this like a mine, someone who is consistent and shows up every shift

You are all set to join ZINC miners, squad. Pick your next tiles and go again.

The mine doesn't wait. ZINC IT 🦺
